SIMCo evaluates the sustainability profile of assets at each stage of the investment process.
Using our proprietary ESG framework and scoring methodology, and we proactively engage with our stakeholders on sustainability matters, which we have summarised below.

Memberships

The UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)
In May 2019, SIMCo became a signatory to the UN PRI, embedding key ESG principles into its investment practices. It reports progress via the UN PRI website, and since March 2024 also supports the PRI’s Statement on ESG in Credit Risk and Ratings.

UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UK SIF)
SIMCo is a member of UKSIF, a leading network that champions responsible finance in the UK, advocating for policies and practices that drive sustainable outcomes. We recognise that environmental and social sustainability play a crucial role in long-term financial resilience and risk management.

Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) Forum
SIMCo is a member of the TNFD Forum alongside other institutions aligned with the TNFD’s mission and principles. We participate in consultative webinars and provide feedback on this framework that deals with dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities that relate to the world’s natural resources and biodiversity – an important and previously overlooked aspect to climate change.
