- Founding Partner and member of SIMCo’s Investment Committee.
- Primarily responsible for structuring SIMCo’s funds and portfolio and balance sheet oversight.
- Over 20 years of infrastructure debt experience across origination, structuring, and execution of all types of infrastructure, commercial property, asset-backed and whole business transactions in the bank and bond markets.
- Over his career has advised major issuers on raising funding, restructurings and workouts, working with companies in infrastructure, utilities, property, leisure, healthcare, and private equity funds globally.
- Formerly headed infrastructure and securitisations teams at UBS and Morgan Stanley.
- MA in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
- Founding Partner and a member of SIMCo’s Investment Committee.
- Oversees and leads origination of infrastructure debt opportunities.
- Over 35 years of experience leading teams across Europe in investment banking, commercial lending, and the transfer of loan assets into capital markets, spanning project finance and infrastructure sectors such as shipping, construction, and real estate.
- Former Head of Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group at Société Générale, as well as Head of Structured Solutions at Nomura International.
- During his 16-year tenure at Morgan Stanley, served as the Head of Debt Capital Markets Financial Institutions Structured Solutions.
- MA in French Literature from the University of Oxford.
The team
- Joined in February 2020 and is the Chair of SIMCo’s Investment Committee and SIMCo’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).
- Responsible for risk management and compliance across SIMCo’s funds, as well as overseeing finance, administration and business operations.
- 25 years of experience in project finance, infrastructure investment and appraisal, risk management, M&A and advisory, with extensive transactional experience across sectors such as transportation, power & utilities, renewables, TMT, social infrastructure and PPPs.
- Former KPMG Infrastructure Advisory Partner and Global Sector Head of Power.
- Serves on the Board of Directors at Transport for London (TfL) and Chair of the Land and Property Committee (Board for Places for London, TfL’s property company).
- MBA from Tulane University; Mechanical Engineering degree from the Engineering Council (UK); BSc from Calcutta University.
- Joined in July 2022 as Managing Director, working with new and existing investors across SIMCo’s products and responsible for evaluating and proposing new strategies.
- Nearly 30 years’ experience in investment management, principal investments, and investment banking, including equity capital markets and M&A.
- Led extensive fund-raising and new product development activities, including at InfraRed Capital Partners, notably the launch of Europe’s leading listed renewables infrastructure fund, TRIG, and at Swiss Life Asset Managers Real Estate.
- Prior senior roles at Macquarie Capital and GE in both Europe and Asia.
- MBA from INSEAD; MA in Classics from the University of Oxford.

▪ Was Director of infrastructure investments at Ping An, the leading Chinese insurer, researching
and executing fund investments and co-investments globally
▪ Previously a partner at Cobalt Equity Partners, the spin-out of the GE Equity private equity
platform, where he spent 6 years earlier in his career, based in Hong Kong
▪ Had roles in private equity at Sin Capital and Advantage Partners in Hong Kong

Kong; CFA (all three levels)
- Joined in March 2015 and leads the analysis and execution of deals across SIMCo’s portfolios, with oversight of deal flow and pipeline opportunities as well as risk responsibilities.
- Experience in power, utilities, renewables, waste-to-energy, sub-sea communications and shipping.
- Previous investment roles at an AIM-listed private equity fund and KPMG.
- MBA from UNC Chapel Hill; Postgraduate Diploma in Infrastructure Investment and Finance from UCL; passed all three levels of CFA.
- Joined in July 2021, plays a leading role in originating, structuring and managing infrastructure debt investments across sectors, with particular expertise in power, renewable energy, and digital infrastructure sectors.
- Over 15 years’ infrastructure experience across direct lending, debt advisory, M&A and capital structuring, with roles at MUFG, KPMG, and KPMG Infrastructure Advisory.
- Served as Corporate Finance Advisor to the UK Government Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) for projects in nuclear energy, CCUS and heat networks.
- MCom in Economics/Finance from the University of Cape Town; passed all three levels of CFA.
- Joined in October 2020, bringing his diverse experience across renewables, transport, and core-plus infrastructure in the UK and Europe to his originations and structuring work across SIMCo’s funds.
- Over 15 years of experience advising on infrastructure financings, having structured and executed project and corporate debt transactions, supporting buy-side deals over £1 billion.
- Previously at KPMG Infrastructure Advisory and debt capital markets specialists, Centrus Financial Advisors.
- BSc in Accounting and Finance from Aston University; ICAEW ACA Chartered Accountant.
▪ 12 years’ experience in financial compliance roles in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom,
including leading process implementation and ongoing monitoring activities
▪ Previously Compliance Officer in Hong Kong at Acwires, an alternative investment management
platform and was the compliance lead at Bullish Capital in Hong Kong
▪ Earlier in his career had roles in banking compliance in Hong Kong with HSBC and with RBS Ulster
Bank in the UK

- Joined in November 2021, focuses on originating and structuring infrastructure debt investments, deal execution and portfolio growth.
- Before joining, Juan had structured and analysed over 30 syndicated and bilateral loans worth over US$3 billion, including a US$350 million toll road concession.
- Previously at Credicorp Capital in Colombia and Peru, specialising in structured loans.
- MBA from London Business School; BS in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes.
- Joined in June 2021, responsible for asset servicing, valuation oversight, and investor reporting.
- Previously Assistant Vice President in the Derivatives team at Northern Trust Corporation, managing global operational oversight across Bangalore, Chicago, and London, and strengthening risk and collateral management processes across cleared swaps, FX forwards, and longevity swaps supporting reinsurance transactions.
- MSc in International Business and BA in Law and Business from the University of Liverpool.
- Joined in February 2023, managing the sustainability processes and activities at SIMCo, including evolving our sustainability framework, assessing and engaging with portfolio companies, and reporting.
- Previously worked for one of Europe’s leading hedge funds, AKO Capital, responsible for ESG research and integration, investor communications, and stewardship activities such as proxy voting.
- First-class BA in Linguistics from the University of Cambridge; ICAEW Certified Business and Finance Professional.
- Joined in June 2021 within the portfolio management and fund operations function, responsible for fund analytics, asset valuations, and currency and interest rate hedging.
- MSc in Financial Mathematics from the London School of Economics; First-class BSc in Mathematics from the University of Aberdeen.
- Joined in January 2026 as part of the credit team, responsible for financial analysis, due diligence and ongoing monitoring of deals, also assisting with loan structuring.
- Experience in infrastructure financing and advisory mandates in the energy, agribusiness and manufacturing & services sectors.
- Previous roles at leading investment bank, Investec, and in development finance at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London.
- MSc in Finance and Management from Cranfield University; Bachelor of Business Administration from Les Roches.
- Joined in April 2026 as part of the credit team, responsible for financial analysis, due diligence and ongoing monitoring of deals.
- Over six years’ experience across infrastructure, structured finance, and debt advisory. His experience includes originating, underwriting, structuring, and executing debt financings across renewables, transport, and core-plus infrastructure assets in the UK, Europe, and the US.
- Previously a part of the Infrastructure & Project Finance and the Structured Finance teams at a leading UK bank. Prior to this Hanish completed internships at a Big-4 firm, a large commercial bank, and an investment management firm in the City.
- BEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Aston.
- Joined in September 2024, focusing on raising new capital and servicing existing investors.
- Previously at Hines (Real Estate Investment Manager), supporting fundraising for European core and core-plus real estate funds.

- Joined in September 2023 as part of the credit team, responsible for financial analysis, due diligence and ongoing monitoring of deals.
